School of Social Sciences

We are a large department and you'll find us on floors 5 - 8 of the Social Sciences building at Quarry Hill main site plus the Annexe building across the road. 

Joining us is your first step towards moving into the future Leeds health and care workforce or onto higher education study. 

We are the next generation of emergency service and armed forces personnel. Our curriculum focuses on developing young people's problem-solving, negotiation, teamwork and communication skills. Additionally, we emphasise the importance of being upstanders, empowering students to act with integrity and courage in the face of challenges. 

We are educating the future generation as early years practitioners, teachers, support assistants, educators and counsellors. Based on on floors 3 and 4 of the Social Sciences building, we will always bring kindness and positivity (and chocolates).
