Now that you have completed two units at the end of which you have performed, you are going to choose the next text that you will perform at the end of this unit.
This text will be a monologue which must come from a published play. In order to facilitate your task of finding this monologue, you will use the DramaOnline website. For your final Coursework in Form 5, you will then choose either the monologue you did earlier in the year or this monologue to further polish and perform next year.
Before you choose your monologue, review carefully the IGCSE assessment criteria which will be used to assess.

In order to meet the requirements of the first assessment criteria, AO1 Knowledge and understanding of repertoire, you need to read the whole play and understand how your monologue fits within the bigger context of the play. You can consider some of the following questions:
What does my character do within play?
How does it align with what s/he says and does in the monologue?
How does it differ from what s/he says and does in the monologue?
What is the style of the play?
After choosing your monologue, this will be your next step and you will want to document information about your character.
