About Our Tutors

Our tutors are the heart of what we do. Each one is carefully selected for both subject mastery and the ability to explain concepts in a way that actually makes sense. They don’t just “teach” — they coach, encourage, and adapt their approach to the student in front of them, whether that learner needs step-by-step clarity, exam technique, or a boost in self-belief.

We provide them with professional training, mentoring, and meaningful development opportunities that enhance their skills while they help young learners thrive.

Tutor Training

We don’t just recruit great tutors — we develop them. Our tutor training programme is designed to raise the standard of support students receive by equipping tutors with the tools, mindset, and professionalism needed to deliver high-impact lessons.

Training includes metacognition (helping students understand how they learn), evidence-informed teaching techniques, methodologies, and pedagogies, and clear guidance on lesson structure, assessment, and effective feedback. We also place strong emphasis on safeguarding, ensuring tutors understand their responsibilities and best practice when working with children and young people.

For added reassurance, we can facilitate Enhanced DBS checks for tutors who don't currently hold one. 

All training is certified, and tutors receive professional certificates from us upon completion — demonstrating both competence and commitment to the highest standards in education and student welfare.
