Our KS3 Core Programme is designed for Year 7s and Year 8s. Our programmes are curriculum driven, so that the relevant KS3 content, based on the national curriculum, is completed in 2 academic years. It covers the 3 core subjects; Mathematics, English and Science. For learners in Year 7, this means that they will go into Year 9 being 1 year ahead of their cohorts. For those in Year 8, it means that they will start Year 10 with all the essential skills required to smash their GCSEs.

The sessions are in groups (up to 15 students). This allows the tutors to cater the curriculum plan to each individual student, as well as sticking to a good even pace. The pricing for the programme includes marking of homework and assessments, as well as provided resources. Students are also entitled to a 1:1 exam feedback lesson after each assessment, all included in the price.

This programme is specifically designed to feed into our GCSE Group Tuition Programmes. 

Mathematics: In Mathematics, we cover all aspects of the National Curriculum, suitable for learners in Year 7 and Year 8. This includes all elements of Number, Algebra, Geometry and Statistics. The sessions are designed to help students build essential mathematical skills and master the fundamental concepts. All of our sessions integrate regular questions, and worksheets are provided before the lesson. We also include intermittent online assessments (every half term) as well as homework for every lesson. 

*Please note that for this programme, students are restricted by Higher or Foundation curriculum levels. At this stage in their academic journey, we believe that every student has the ability to build the skills required for them to achieve the highest grades. Therefore, our tutors will deliver all content to all tutees.

English: In English, students will dive into 2 different sections of the curriculum. First, they will develop a strong understanding of Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar. We also look at the essential skills which lead in to their GCSE English Language and Literature courses, such as Reading, Writing and Interpreting Non-Fiction and Fiction Texts, Language and Structural Techniques and Shakespeare. All skills learnt during these sessions are applicable across all the different texts and poems they will study, and have been specifically developed to cater to all the different exam boards. We also include intermittent online assessments (every half term) as well as homework for every lesson. 

Science: In Science, students will have specialist lessons for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The 3 sciences will be taught in alternating blocks. Lessons will be delivered by specialist tutors for each science, 1 topic at a time. From energy and electricity, to DNA and atoms - we have the entire KS3 covered. Students will also have the opportunity to view simulated practical activities, as well as skill and exam practise based worksheets at the end of every lesson. After ever topic, they will also have intermittent assessments which will be marked by our tutors.

We also include intermittent online assessments at the end of every topic as well as homework for every lesson. Furthermore, we will also be conducting termly summative assessments. Students will receive 4 mathematics lessons per week.

Science: Students will have specialist lessons for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students will also have the opportunity to view simulated required practical activities, as well as skill and exam practise based worksheets at the end of every lesson. After ever topic, they will also have assessments which will be marked by our tutors. Students will receive 6 science lessons per week; 2 Biology, 2 Chemistry and 2 Physics. The content we teach is suitable for all exam boards, and students will be made aware about what is relevant to them and what isn't.
