General Information
This program is considered to be elite, focusing on developing both a players individual skills on the field as well as their team skills. This academy frequently travels for tournaments, within province and internationally to the United States. The travel costs are in addition to the School Academy Fees. This academy is the only one which represents Nanaimo District Secondary School in a formalized league and is highly competitive.
This program is available to Grades 8-12 that have previous lacrosse experience. Program entry is decided by evaluations and application.

Intent of the Program
The intent of the NLPS Lacrosse Academy is to focus on improving individual and team lacrosse skills.

Timeline (Full-year or semester)
This is a full-year academy with both Senior and Junior programs.

Travel and/or Equipment requirement
This program frequently travels for tournaments, which is an extra cost.

Fees and Breakdown
New players - $1,340
New players frees are higher as they receive both a helmet and a gear bag.
Returning Players - $1,130

The breakdown of the fees vary from year-to-year a considerable amount. The fees are used to cover equipment, apparel, transportation, prime fitness and facility rental.

Fundraising Expectations
Players in this program are required to participate in the fundraising events conducted during the year. The funds that are raised are used to supplement any additional costs associated with this academy.
