The actions of a student-athlete are a reflection of themselves, their team, their school, and their community.  A student’s involvement in school sports provides opportunities and experiences that are important to the development of a well-rounded student.  However, student-athletes must remember that their participation in school sports is a privilege, not a right.

Student-athletes shall:

1. Treat everyone with respect

   1. Treat teammates, coaches, opponents, event organizers, and spectators with respect

   2. Respect and accept, with dignity, the decisions of officials

   3. Be generous in winning and graceful in losing

2. Exercise self-control at all times

   1. There is no place in sports for drugs or alcohol, including tobacco

   2. Refrain from using foul or profane language

   3. Refrain from the use of physical force outside the rules of the game

3. Play Fair

   1. Play within the rules and the spirit of the game at all times

4. Citizenship

   1. Be a positive role model in the school and classroom 

   2. Be on time for, and attend all classes

   3. Maintain a minimum “satisfactory” work habit in all classes

Please read below.  By signing this form you are agreeing to comply with the Parent/Guardian code of conduct. (Forms will be held by the Athletic Director for one school year)

• I (and my guests) will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials, and spectators at every game, practice, or other events.

• I (and my guests) will encourage fair play by all competitors and welcome guests to the facility including officials, visiting coaches, players, and parents.

• I understand that my child must maintain acceptable work habits in all of his/her classes in order to participate on a school team.

• I understand that if my child has an unexcused absence, he/she will not be eligible to participate with the team on this day. (Practice or Game)  Student first, athlete second!

• I will take time to speak with coaches at an agreed-upon time and place after my child has spoken with the coach, and I have spoken with my child, and do my best to understand team policies and procedures.

• I understand that playing time is determined by the coach(es) based on his/her criteria.

• I also agree that if I am unable to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I will remove myself from the competition venue.  Failure to do so may result in consequences that will be determined by the administration.

• I hereby give permission for my child to travel with the team for league and exhibition games.  I understand that there may be separate fees and a permission form that will need to be signed by me in order to allow my child to travel to overnight and out-of-town tournaments.
