Grade 11 or 12 students who are working or volunteering for 100 hours during the school year can receive 4 course credits for WEX 12. Students must complete the paperwork before counting their hours. After 100 hours are completed, the student will complete an assessment and receive 4 credits.
How do I sign up for WEX?
Complete the Letter of Intent with Ms. Dow and sign up for the Google Classroom
Complete the Training Plan and get it signed by your Employer/Supervisor (we need this BEFORE you start counting your hours)
Work 100 hours
Have your employer complete the Employer Evaluation
Complete the Final Reflection on Google Classroom
OF NOTE:
Students are responsible for finding their own workplace for WEX 12, job finding is not facilitated through the Career Center.
In order to be eligible for WEX 12, students must be covered by WCB at their workplace or volunteer opportunity.
WEX 12 can be taken twice (A & B) as long as the student has a different role or workplace.
