The central belief of the GMS Music Program is that music is about beauty, expression, communication, and creativity. This video is but one of many examples of how powerful and expressive music can be. I would like to dedicate this example to two of my (many) mentors, the late Dale Lonis and his colleague Ardith Haley, who helped me fully understand the artistic power of music. This is one of Dale's favourite pieces.

Some Fridays at lunch, the music room is transformed into a Jam! All students are welcome to come in and take turns participating. The style and structure of each week's jam session will change from week to week. Not all jams will be in the jazz style! (though many will be). Check the daily announcements to see when they happen.
