We respectfully acknowledge that we live, learn & make music on the traditional and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan People.
Kimberly Gorman grew up in the beautiful Okanagan area. She began playing piano at the age of six and picked up clarinet as well at the end of elementary school. Music quickly became a place of passion, respite, and comfort to her and remains a key part of her life. Later in high school, thanks to inspiration from her high school music teacher, she also began doubling on alto saxophone. After graduation, Kimberly attended Douglas College and UBC Vancouver to earn her Bachelor's of Music degree, and continued on to complete a Bachelor's of Education from UBC as well. As part of her studies, she earned a minor in German, spending two consecutive summers studying in Kassel, Germany, as part of the CSSG University Immersion program.
Upon completing her education, Kimberly returned to the Okanagan and began teaching Band, Choir, Jazz, and English at KLO Middle School. Her next assignment was a 5/6 classroom at Davison Road Elementary school where she also ran a pull-out band program to the grade 7 students there. Kimberly eventually landed at Ecole Glenrosa Middle School where she now coordinates a full music program of Exploratory Music, Band 7-9, Choir, and Jazz. She has fallen in love with the students and staff at GMS and is grateful to have found such a vibrant, creative, and collaborative place to call home.
In 2021, Kimberly went back to school through Acadia University to study Curriculum Design with a focus in music education. She completed the degree in the summer of 2023.

Meghan Payjack grew up in Northern British Columbia in a series of small towns and islands. Her family settled in the town of Terrace when she turned six, where she grew up as one of five siblings. Her interest in Music and performing arts started young as she explored performing and competing in local music festivals in dance when she was 7, which she continued to do until she graduated high school. In high school she was also able to combine singing and dancing, while involved in two Musicals in grade 11 and 12. Her love of flute began when she joined Band in grade 6. She started competing in Music Festivals as a soloist, the same year. She continued to evolve as a performer within the public-school band program, in Concert Band, Jazz Band, Concert Choir, and Vocal Jazz, and in her private lesson community, performing and competing as a flute soloist, duet, trio, quartet partner and flute choir member, which allowed her to compete in Music Fest Canada two times with her school bands and choirs, as well as once with her flute quartet in grade 10.
After high school graduation, Meghan moved to Vancouver Island to attend Malaspina University-College (now Vancouver Island University) where she completed her Diploma in Classical Music. She relocated again to complete her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta. Once complete her two degrees, Meghan moved to the city of Burnaby and began her career as a Music Educator, teaching Beginner Band 7, and Elementary (k-7) Music, as well as some general classroom. She happily accepted her full-time position at Stoney Creek Community School where she taught kindergarten to grade 7 music, primary and intermediate choir, and grade 6/7 band for the last 11 years.
She recently made the decision to move to the Okanagan to explore a new adventure with her partner and their three young children and is excited to join the staff and students at Glenrosa Middle School this year.
