We are following strict sterilization and cohort-based protocols for hand washing and sanitization of public surfaces and equipment to reduce the spread of COVID. This includes isolating returns for 24 hours.

Cohort-Based Use of the Learning Commons
To reduce the spread of COVID, we have planned library periods such that only one cohort is permitted in the Learning Commons at any given time. With 10 min intervals between classes, we have time to sanitize surfaces, air out the space using windows and fans, and isolate returned materials.

We are following COVID-19 best practices and protocols for all library programs and services. This includes social distancing, disallowing sick persons in the space, consistent mask-use, and not co-sharing materials.
If you or a close family member are socially isolating due to covid or unconfirmed symptoms of covid, please do not return library materials. Contact the OLA Main Office to let them know that you will not be returning library materials until after you are well or have received confirmation that you do not have covid. Thank you for helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We are following all COVID protocols outlined by the provincial government, in addition to best practices recommended by medical research institutions.
Notice: If a cohort has a confirmed case of COVID, we may temporarily discontinue lending physical materials (ex. books) to that cohort. If so, we recommend that students make use of the excellent online books and resources available through the OLA Library Catalogue and the Calgary Public Library.
