The DJD Dance Centre is a spectacular space with floor-to-ceiling windows in its studios, an intimate black box theatre, and a multi-purpose community living room space. This is a home for jazz dance and a community dance hub. The DJD Dance Centre offers performances, training, outreach, rehearsal, creation and social space for all who enter. The centre has been designed to inspire creativity for the users within and to be a source of creative energy for the district. It is located near the intersection of Centre Street and 12 Avenue SE, one block east of Hotel Arts. Breakfast will be served here on both mornings of the conference. Both Keybote addresses will take place in the "Living Room" located on the main floor and all sessions except Moncell Durden's dance classes will be held in the studios of the DJD Dance Centre. The first 20 people to purchase a two-day pass will get a ticket to DJD Company Performance "Blueprint" Friday, January 22nd.

Doherty Hall is adjacent to Enbridge Plaza and the Burnco Courtyard, It is approximately a 15 minute walk from DJD along 12th Avenue SE, or an 8 minute bus ride (number 24). There is free parking on the Stampede grounds for those who wish to drive there (8 minutes). The Intensive session with Moncell Durden on Wednesday, January 20th as well as both of his dance classes (from 3:30-5:00pm) on both days of the conference will be held here to accomodate the the enormous demand!

We have reserved a spot in this cozy corner pub for all attendees to kick off the conference, Please join us for some snacks and beverages as we get to know each other after Moncell's Intensive Workshop at Doherty Hall. ESD will cover the cost of the snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased individually if you want them!

Two large paid public parking lots are located on the South and East sides of the building. Two-hour meter street parking is available on Center Street SE, between 12 and 13 Avenue SE. Two disabled parking spaces are available on the south side of the building.
