Building Bridges in Dance Education: Developing Community, Public Engagement & Creating Connections
This keynote address will kick off this year’s conference theme of building bridges between the various stakeholders in dance education including the private sector, public education systems, parents, and our surrounding communities. Led by veteran secondary school dance educator, Lindsay Daniels, we will explore the role and benefits of each dance sector, how to build community (within our own studio spaces and beyond), strategies to educate parents on the value of dance, and, how to create inclusive and accessible programming.
This session will provide participants with a takeaway resource package, practical and proven strategies, and opportunities for collaboration and discussion with colleagues from all sectors.
