This federal law protects you from unexpected medical bills when receiving care from out-of-network providers or facilities — especially when you didn’t have a choice in who provided the care.
If you're paying out-of-pocket, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of the expected cost before your child’s therapy begins. This estimate will include the cost of evaluations, treatment sessions, and any related services.
