Writing

In fourth grade, we primarily focus on three types of writing:

personal narrative, expository, and poetry.

A personal narrative is a story from one’s own life.

~The author's purpose is to entertain the reader.

An expository is an informational text, procedural text, or opinion paper.

~The author's purpose is to inform the reader.
