About me

 Hello, everyone!

Welcome to Interior Design & Architecture! My name is Jodi Jacobsen, and I am your Family and Consumer Sciences teacher. This is my 11th year at Vandegrift High School, and I am excited to continue being part of the incredible Viper community.

This year, I will be teaching Principles of Interior Design & Architecture, Interior Design 1, Interior Design 2, and Practicum of Interior Design. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in the interior design and architecture industry, and I love bringing real-world design experiences into the classroom. My goal is to help students explore their creativity while developing practical design, problem-solving, and presentation skills that can be used in college, careers, and everyday life.

Whether you're taking your very first design class or continuing your journey in advanced courses, I can't wait to get to know each of you. We have an exciting year ahead filled with creative projects, hands-on experiences, and opportunities to think like designers.
