Welcome to Vandegrift High School!  

Please contact Maureen Sanders by email  Maureen.Sanders@leanderisd.org to schedule an appointment.  All registration dates are by appointment only. Once you have scheduled an appointment, review the following list of documents you’ll need to provide to Mrs. Sanders for your registration appointment. In preparation for your appointment, complete the online New Student registration information.

Documents Needed to Register Your Student

• Proof of Residency (recent utility bill, lease agreement, purchase document)

• Birth Certificate

• Immunizations

• Social Security Card

• Driver’s License of Parent/Guardian

• Student’s Final Report Card

• High School Transcript (if possible)

• TAKS or STAAR Results or Achievement Test Results (if possible)

Please bring the items listed above along with you to register your student. We are available to register students by appointment Monday through Friday. The registration process includes completion of our registration packet and meeting with the counselor to schedule classes. 

When you arrive on campus please check in with our receptionist, and she will direct you to the Counseling Office.

Have you moved and need to update your home address?

Please contact Maureen Sanders by email at  maureen.sanders@leanderisd.org.  

In the text of your email, please include the following information: Student(s) full name(s), Grade level(s), ID(s), New Address, Parents/Guardians living at this address.  Be certain to attach Proof of Residency as required by LISD.  Proof of residency can be a signed lease or a current utility bill (gas, water, electric).  All financial information can be blocked out leaving only the information we are required to document: Parent/Guardian name, Address, current date.

If you submit your address update on the Home Access Center (HAC), please follow up with emailed proof of residency as above.

Thinking about withdrawing your student from VHS?

Please contact Sohela Griego by email at sohela.griego@leanderisd.org  if you are considering withdrawing your student from VHS.  Ms. Griego can  provide you with withdrawal forms for enrollment at your new school and help with records requests for private school applications.   If possible, please contact Ms. Griego at least one week prior to your student's last day.  This time allows your student to complete work for their withdrawal grades, return LISD gear, and settle any remaining obligations.  Ms. Griego is available to help with your family's school transition and answer any questions you may have.

Home Access Center (HAC) provides families with an online tool where they can view helpful student information to support and guide their children through the educational process. From home or work, at any time of the day or night, parents can access the web portal to track academic achievement.
