Summer training (camps, intensives, repertory theatre) is an OPTIONAL but strongly encouraged offshoot of what we do here within our own program.  It is especially encouraged for students who want to pursue a post-secondary career in Theatre (actors, singers, dancers, and technicians). The growth and skill development many students show following their participation in a summer training program is staggering. It is important and, in the long run, a very good idea for students to work with and learn from a variety of directors in order to best develop and refine their craft. 

Since we're lucky enough to live close to Austin, many of these opportunities exist right in our own backyard and are generally more affordable than some of the programs you might have to travel to. In many cases, there are scholarship opportunities to offset the cost of attending such a program.
