Amelie is an extraordinary young woman who lives quietly in the world, but loudly in her mind. She covertly improvises small but surprising acts of kindness that bring joy and mayhem. But when a chance at love comes her way, Amelie realizes that to find happiness, she'll have to risk everything and say what's in her heart.

The Audition Process
SINGING
Select and prepare 16-32 bars of a song from a published musical (not Amelie). We will have an accompanist who plays along with you (Austin Kimble). You will perform your selection for the casting committee, and may be asked to sing other selections at callbacks.
What to bring with you:
- Sheet music (for the accompanist)
ACCENT DEMONSTRATION
All actors in this production will perform with convincing French accents. Please take time to review and practice what that sounds like.
HERE is a brief monologue that you should become very familiar with and be prepared to READ in a convincing French accent during your audition.
HERE is a recording of the monologue.
DANCING
While this is not a massive "dance show", there will be a great deal of choreography of movement and a few ensemble dance numbers.
We will bring in a choreographer (Coy Branscum) to teach you a chunk of one of those dances, then you'll perform as a group for the casting committee.
What to bring with you:
- Closed-toe/dance shoes
- Clothing that you can comfortably move in

Acting auditions will be done by cold read, so make sure you are familiar with the script and the characters in it.
