Hi families! This is a bittersweet time! We have enjoyed having your child at the Ranch, but we are so excited for his or her exciting next step! Leander ISD wants to ensure that students have a smooth transition from elementary school to middle school. Rutledge Elementary students are zoned for Henry Middle School and Stiles Middle School. Please see the information below regarding upcoming parent information nights and school visits. Please take a look at the middle school curriculum site for more information about courses offered. Our 5th graders will be traveling to Henry and Stiles on the morning of Thursday, January 22. The students will have an opportunity to tour the school and learn more about their elective options. If your child is not going to Henry or Stiles, they will be excused to go and visit their Leander ISD middle school on Thursday, January 22. Please contact Anaka Cantrell to let her know about the visit so that your child will be excused.

All students will have the opportunity to make choices for their sixth grade year. You will find out more about the choices your middle school offers during the parent information night.
*Henry and Stiles counselors will visit Rutledge on the afternoon of January 28. The middle school counselors will provide guidance and answer questions for students as they make their choices on a paper form. They will bring the paper home and together, you all will select their choices on a google form. You can access the form from the google classroom. All forms must be submitted no later than February 12th.

*If your child is attending a different middle school he or she should receive the electronic form to submit for his or her new middle school. If you do not receive one, please let Lynsey Crawford know.
