About Dance 1: Studio

This dance course for students with at least two years experience of dance. We will offer a more rigorous dance course in technique and choreography.  We will focus on all styles of dance. We work on:

• Hip-hop

• Jazz & Jazz-funk

• Contemporary

• Lyrical

• Ballet

• Pom

• Cardio dance

• Flexibility

• Choreography projects

• Cultural dance styles

Every dancer in Dance 1:Studio can choose to perform at various events throughout the year including football games, basketball games, Winter Show, and Spring Show!

DANCE CLASS PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES GUIDELINES

***Note: Performance dates could change or be cancelled due to Covid Guidelines/Protocols. 

All Dance classes have the opportunity to perform throughout the year at various events.  Below is important information regarding performance opportunities:

• Performances are not mandatory but are highly encouraged.  Alternative assignments could be given if a students chooses to not perform. 

• All students must pass the six weeks to perform. Grades are important!!

• Students must be able to purchase the dance department tank top and provide black leggings and tennis shoes for the football performance.

• All other performances typically involve costumes that the dance director supplies or items from their own closet.

• Students that perform have to provide their own transportation to the performances unless it is during the regular school day.
