Fall Kindergarten Credit By Exam for Acceleration
(EA) Into First Grade
Kindergarten students require in-person testing which will be completed on their elementary campus.
Parents may register with the campus counselor to have their students take the Kindergarten EA into First Grade.
Registration will open: Aug 2, 2021
Deadline to Register: August 23, 2021

Fall testing window: September 20-22, 2021
Children must be enrolled as LISD kindergarten students and must be assigned an LISD student ID number before they can be registered to take the Kindergarten EA.
Students will take both the kindergarten math and kindergarten ELA exams.
Exams will be proctored on the student’s campus.

If students score at least 80% on both exams, they will be accelerated into First Grade. Acceleration will happen automatically upon receipt of passing scores.
Grades 1-5:
The State of Texas requires that districts provide an EA testing window in each of these four periods:
July 1 -- September 30
October 1 -- December 31
January 1 -- March 31
April 1 -- June 30
Leander ISD meets the above requirements by providing the following EA schedule:
Grades 1-5
September 20-22, 2021 on elementary campuses (registration window Aug. 2 - Aug. 23)
December 6-8, 2021 on elementary campuses (registration window Oct. 4 - Nov. 1)
March 7-9, 2022 - on elementary campuses (registration window Jan. 10 - Feb. 7)
June 6-9, 2022 (location tbd) (registration window Mar. 21 - April 22)
