FAQ’s:
What is the time frame for each act? No more than 2 minutes.
What if the student needs accompaniment? If students are using background or accompaniment music, please send the mp3 to Mrs. Simpson @ ChrisM.Simpson@leanderisd.org BEFORE Thursday April 9th. If the song is longer than 2 minutes, we will work on a cut that works best musically!
What if my student needs an instrument from home for the audition?
If students are performing with a guitar or drum set, please email Mrs. Simpson @ ChrisM.Simpson@leanderisd.org BEFORE Thursday, April 9th.
Any students who need a piano will be using the piano in the Performing Arts room to audition with.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or situations where students may need specific items.
What do I do if my student signs up but decides not to audition afterall? No worries! If your student has decided they do not want to participate, just let us know as soon as possible. If it is the day of auditions, they can tell the Specials Team and we will remove them from the list.
Can we help our student for their audition? Yes. Leading up to the audition, you are more than welcome to help and support your student. For the actual audition, they will need to be able to do the activity on their own for the Specials team. If you are supporting your child(ren) with these preparations, please keep in mind that the Talent Show will be on the MPR stage, and space is limited for certain activities and movements. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact one of us.
We look forward to seeing all of the talent our RPE students have to close out our year during our Talent Show!
Sincerely,
The Specials Team
Chris Simpson, Jenny Warner, Cindy Schexnayder and Yonia Martinez
