How do absences and tardies work?
What do I need to do in regards to these?
When a child is absent, a verification of absence must be received within 48 hours of a student’s return to school. A handwritten note or an email sent from the parent’s email address on file is acceptable. All notes but be turned into the office or email can be sent to rgnattendance@leanderisd.org
When submitting an absence note, please include the following:
Student legal name (first/last), Student ID, Grade
Date of Absence(s), Reason for Absence and attach Doctor/Dentist notes, if applicable

Can I bring the class a treat for my child's birthday?
Can my child give out invitations to their party?
Absolutely! Please try to stay away from food/candy options though since we have allergies and dietary restrictions. Also, it is important to make sure that every child receives one, please contact your teacher for the number of students in your class. (You can also refer to their class directory.)
Please provide us plastic bags (sandwich size) to help distribute items.

The state provides funding for public schools to bus students to and from campuses that are two miles or more from their home.
In Leander ISD, families living closer than 2 miles from their assigned school are in the “Not Eligible for Transportation Zone,” or NET Zone. Students in the NET Zone are only provided bus service if their route to school is rated as hazardous.
The Board policy on hazardous routes is under CNA (Local).
