Teaching Your Child About Puberty
4th & 5th Grade Parents/Guardians:
Leander ISD 4th and 5th grade students are about to study an important lesson on the early stages of puberty which some students may be beginning to experience. In order for students to participate, parents/guardians must complete an OPT-IN form (will be updated when available) for their child.
At River Place Elementary, students will watch the videos listed below on Friday, March 13th While watching the videos, students will be separated by grade level and gender. Mrs. Zepeda and Nurse Sue will facilitate the girl group and Mr. Donnelly and Mr. Thomas will facilitate the boy group. If you’re interested in previewing the videos, please refer to Will be Updated when available and click on the appropriate video.

Reproductive systems
Health and nutrition
Hygiene and grooming
Self esteem
Physical changes
Emotional changes
If you would like your 4th/5th Grade Student to participate in the Puberty Lesson.
