Hello! My name is Mr. Bean. I have 21 years experience as a teacher and coach. I have taught PE, Special Education, 2nd grade, 3rd grade., and now 4th grade. I attended the University of Texas for a year and then went into the Army. I am a Desert Storm Veteran. I served in Armored Cavalry Regiments 2nd ACR & 3rd ACR. I went back to school and graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise & Sports Science. I am certified in All-level Physical Education, EC-6th grade Generalist, Special Education, and in ESL. Overall this will be my 12th year at Cox Elementary.This will be my second year to teach 4th grade and I am really looking forward to it!

I am married and my wife Janet, is also an educator. I have 2 step-kids, Karl and Karin. I have a six year old grandson named Reed. I also have 2 cats. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, playing golf, watching sports, movies, working out, traveling, and reading.
