C.C. Mason Elementary IB World School is one of only two campuses in the Leander Independent School District (LISD) that offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Â

We had a wonderful celebration with our community to celebrate this amazing day! What a history our school has and it was wonderful to have our guests visit and tell stories of the first day of school of the very first day of Mason Elementary! We appreciate everyone who helped to make this day a great success and our special guests for sharing their journey with us. We had some activities with classes doing the math challenge about how many students started with Mason way back in 1994! Congrats to Mrs. Cordova, Mrs. Wilson, Ms Romero, Mrs. Kihneman, Mrs. Scott, and Mrs. Green's classes in each grade level for winning the challenge! Thank you to all of our teachers who made this celebration possible and who have made Mason the most incredible community to be a part of all these years!! Â

What a fun week with Literacy Week and the Bluebonnet Stomp! Â

We are so excited for all the learning our students are doing as we start the second term! G3 logged the weather and compared it to 7 different countries around the world. We have had video calls with grade 3 students at IB schools in some of those countries to present our weather inquiry and to hear about what they are learning about the weather! Student then asked questions to each other about the weather patterns that we had in Cedar Park compared with the other country. For the countries with time zones opposite our time students will be creating videos to share.Â
