Examining content through the lens of diversity and from a variety of perspectives adds depth and complexity to the stories and information in Social Studies. Diversity also comes in the form of the various types of documents used as students explore a compelling question. Below are some of the fundamental components for bringing this to life in the Social Studies classroom. You will find short introductory learning and longer, more comprehensive learning on each of the topics. In addition, many of these are available to have in person professional learning sessions with the LISD Social Studies' staff.
