Students will have the opportunity to eat at least one snack throughout the day. We highly encourage a nutritious snack to help fuel their minds and bodies for the day. These will be working snacks, so it should be easily eaten in class without creating a distraction. Snacks should be healthy, dry (should not require utensils), and have little or no sugar. Any candies or deserts will enjoyed at lunch time. **Please be aware some classrooms may have particular food allergies. **If you have concerns about food allergies, please contact your child's teacher.
We also encourage your child to bring in a reusable water bottle. Please send in only water. Students will be permitted to fill water bottles as needed. Thanks for your support with this!
Each class will celebrate by singing Happy Birthday and wishing them a wonderful and special day! They will also be recognized on Rocket Radio News in the morning. Students are highly encouraged NOT to bring a food treat for the class due to allergies and the sharing of food. A small goody to hand out for their birthday such as: a pencil, eraser, a sticker or tattoo, or any other small item is preferred. We will pass the item out at the end of the school day for students to take home.
Please update your child's registration with Heather Kavanagh in the office through HAC to add your child's "preferred name".
Please know that the nurse does not have any extra clothes at school. In the event that your child has an accident (gets muddy at recess, spills a drink on his/her clothes, etc.), an extra set of clothes in his/her backpack would come in very handy!
This folder will go home usually on Wednesdays. Inside will contain important information from school and classroom. It is your child's responsibility to show it to you and return it by Friday to be prepared for the next week.
