ARCIL provides services to any person with any disability.   Our mission is to promote independent living through Independent Living Skills training, housing search, employment services, and information & referral.  Staff provides assistance with SSI/SSDI, and working while on disability management.  ARCIL provides durable medical equipment services (i.e. grad bars, vehicle lifts, and ramps).  ARCIL also provides relocation services.  Relocation Services assist consumers in nursing homes relocate from nursing homes to their community.




The Blind Children’s Program offers services to children between birth and 22 years who live in Texas and have a vision impairment. Case management, direct skills training, and parent education are provided to children and families in order to help them develop the skills needed to realize their full potential.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas is a health plan option for STAR Kids, STAR and CHIP Medicaid. We educate families on coverage and the added value services we offer. We can help people find community resources to assist with non-medical drivers of health and help those who need help and applying for Medicaid. 


BridgingApps is a program of Easter Seals Greater Houston that provides resources, education, and information on apps and mobile devices to help caregivers and people with disabilities like autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome target and improve skills and reach their highest levels of physical, social, and cognitive development.

Free training is available to seniors and people with disabilities, and is provided by knowledgeable instructors, experienced with Capital Metro buses, rail, and trains. Receive individual, self-paced instruction that is specifically designed around your needs and schedule. Travel Training will teach you how to: • Plan a trip • Travel to and from the bus stop • Board a bus and pay the fare • Use the ramp or lift • Identify landmarks • Transfer between buses • Ask the driver for assistance • Problem solve if you encounter unexpected situations while traveling in the community.

For six decades, Goodwill Central Texas has relentlessly focused on a single goal: empowering people through work. We believe that education and work are the only true pathways out of poverty, and strive to provide opportunities for people in our community who face obstacles to sustainable employment: people who have disabilities, people lacking education, people with criminal backgrounds, people facing homelessness and youth lacking opportunity.

I work with the Texas Workforce Commission and Goodwill CT to share information on available services for individuals with disabilities

Partners Resource Network is a non-profit that serves as Texas Parent Training and Information (PTI) Center funded by the Department of Education (OSEP). 

We assist parents of children and youth with disabilities from the ages 0 to 26.

 Round Rock Police Department-Take Me Home


Take Me Home - a local database for citizens to register family members who may wander off or get lost and may not be able to communicate vital information to law enforcement officers or first responders. This kind of assistance may be required if the person is unable to speak or properly identify themselves, or if the individual becomes disoriented or acts in a manner that could be misinterpreted by first responders.  Note that this program is specific to the population of Round Rock, Texas.   A similar program can be found in Pflugerville, Texas as well: https://police.pflugervilletx.gov/community-programs/bring-me-home

We are the Special Education Parents Advisory Council (SEPAC), parents/guardians who volunteer some of our time to serve as a resource to fellow parents/guardians whose children are receiving special education and/or 504 services through Round Rock ISD (RRISD).  We work in partnership with Round Rock Public Schools administration on matters relating to the education and safety of all students.  We work to encourage understanding, respect, acceptance and inclusion of all students in an effort to improve the lives and educational outcomes of students with special needs and their families.

The Talking Book Program (TBP) provides digital audio, large print and Braille books and magazines to students who cannot read standard print due to a visual, physical, or reading disability, like dyslexia. Service for students is available both at home and in the classroom.

A tax-advantaged savings plan for eligible Texans with disabilities. An Account For Eligible Texans With Means To Save For Qualified Disability Expenses. 

Established by the Texas Legislature and administered by the Texas Comptroller’s office, the Texas ABLE Program allows Texans with disabilities to save in a tax-advantaged account while preserving eligibility for certain means-tested state and federal programs. Eligible individuals can save up to $15,000 a year, not to exceed a lifetime maximum of $500,000. Funds up to $100,000 generally do not count against eligibility for government assistance or benefits however exceptions do apply.

Texas ABLE is open to eligible Texans who experience the onset of a disability before the age of 26 and are entitled to Supplemental Security Income or Social Security Disability Insurance benefits or have a condition on the Social Security Administration’s list of Compassionate Allowances or a physician’s diagnosis of a qualifying condition.  Enroll and manage accounts at TexasABLE.org.

Texas Health and Human Services — which includes the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the Texas Department of State Health Services — has hundreds of programs and services that help more than 7 million Texans a month live better lives, and it’s our strong foundation of dedicated people who make it happen every single day.


Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA) is a non-profit law firm that provides free legal services to low-income Texans, including in Austin and surrounding areas. There are more than 36 practice areas in which TRLA attorneys specialize. 



The Texas Statewide Leadership for Autism Training (TSLAT) provides high quality autism training and support at no cost for educators and families of children with autism across Texas.  TSLAT operates as a statewide network of autism specialists out of the 20 regional service centers (ESCs) and works in conjunction with the Texas Education Agency.  We are not a school. Our training is provided online or in-person at the 20 ESCs.  TSLAT is housed at and led by ESC Region 13 in Austin.

The Texas Technology Access Program is the statewide assistive technology program. Our services include a short term device loan program, demonstration centers across the state, a durable medical equipment recycle program, discussing funding for purchasing assistive technology, and 3D printed assistive technology.

 Texas Workforce Solutions-Vocational Rehabilitation Services (TWS-VRS) supports people with disabilities to prepare for, obtain and advance in meaningful employment by providing a range of services based on an individual’s employment goals. Our Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) counselors work closely with job seekers to determine an employment goal, and then identify and arrange for the high-quality services that lead to successful employment.   

Vocational Rehabilitation helps people with disabilities get ready for, find, or keep a job. We help adults with disabilities of all ages. We also help young students with disabilities prepare for life after school. The program also assists businesses in hiring and supporting employees with disabilities. 


The Arc of the Capital Area provides innovative programming and guidance for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families. Programs include Adult Case Management, at-risk Juveniles Case Management, Art & Education, Employment Services, and Transition Support. Our goal is to support the community in having meaningful, inclusive lives! 


Each year Travis County Summer Youth Employment Program hires 750 youth ages 14-17 and if it is a youth with a disability, up to age 22. We offer youth a five-week job opportunity while encouraging them toward a path of higher education or assisting them in determining their career path while providing them with dedicated adult guidance.  We provide job placement during the summer and job development year-round to youth in Travis County.

Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA) serves 9 counties in Texas. Learn about the wrap around services available for Job Seekers to assist with employment opportunities and possible training. Other programs include services for Veterans, Vocational Rehabilitation, Child Care, and much more.
