Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) provides advocacy and inclusion support for individuals with disabilities to enjoy recreation activities as well as specialist therapeutic programs. Opportunities for youth, teens, and adults to acquire skills that enable them to participate in leisure experiences and enhance their involvement in community programs.
The Arc of the Capital Area is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering Central Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families by offering a variety of programs and services, such as our Art & Education Day Program, Adult Case Management, CLASS Case Management, Employment Services, Guardianship Programs, Family & Juvenile Transition Services, and more.
Art Spark Texas provides opportunities for artists with disabilities to join an inclusive community. We offer programs in all artistic disciplines – visual art, new media, performance, dance, and writing. We support artists at any stage of development, from amateurs using art as a hobby to accomplished artists.
In the heart of downtown Round Rock, every Friday at the A. Baca Center, there's a weekly meet-up group that's like no other, and 100% parent-powered. We're dedicated to creating a fun Friday night out with friends for Autistic teens and young adults.
We play games, watch the occasional movie, and we hit the town every six weeks for some community adventures. It's the great Friday hangout, all about having fun and making new friends.

Beloved And beyond is a camp for children and adults with disabilities, along with their siblings. It’s an overnight camp that allows campers to have an experience that caters to their needs. It’s a Christian camp where we celebrate that God made everyone for a purpose. It is a place to be loved, to be love to others, and to know you are beloved by God!!
With social skills training, mentorship, self-regulation strategies, and behavioral supports, we strive to produce positive outcomes for gaining social independence, relieving social anxiety, and the acquisition of coping skills. Located in Brenham, Camp Blessing makes an iconic experience–summer camp–available to campers whose challenges prevent their participation elsewhere. We are a residential Christian summer camp offering love, acceptance, and fun for children with special needs all through adulthood. We believe that our campers, regardless of ability level or age, should have all of the fun summer camp has to offer.
Providing a residential camping experience for people with disabilities since 1947. Camp Summit is a one-of-a-kind camp for individuals with disabilities where the emphasis is on each camper's abilities rather than their disabilities. Traditional camp activities are adapted to each individual, provided in our barrier-free facilities, and implemented by trained, caring staff. Our campers are grouped by age, providing the opportunity to make friends within peer groups while having fun and experiencing new adventures.
Outdoor Explorers is a donation based Recreational Therapy group through Candlelight Ranch. Each week, we meet at local parks, and we focus on social skills, physical activity, and learning about nature.
Charis Hills is a therapeutic recreational camp that serves kids, teens, and young adults with high-functioning autism, ADHD, learning differences, and difficulty connecting with peers. We offer summer camps for ages 7–18, young adult weekends, and family weekends designed to strengthen bonds and create lasting memories. Centered on faith and a deep respect for neurodiversity, our program provides a nurturing environment where campers and families can grow, connect, and thrive.
Round Rock Transit partners with Capital Metro to provide transit services in Round Rock. The City also provides ADA Paratransit services for those individuals whose disability prevents them from using the regular fixed route, for origin and destinations within the service area.
The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department offers the following events focusing on active participation for children and adults with various disabilities or limitations. We strive to create equal access to recreation to help enhance an individual’s quality of life.
At Ranch Camp we have been encouraging youth and adults 13+ with a range of cognitive disabilities to come out to the country and enjoy our little slice of Texas since 1995. We are located 45 minutes east of Austin on Hwy 290.
Enjoy swimming in the 52′ pool, playing basketball, taking hikes, caring for animals or drop a line in the pond to see how quick a fish snatches the hook. It’s everything camp should be – and so much more.
Easterseals' Greenleaf Neurodiversity Community Center creates new opportunities for adults with autism and related neurodivergent conditions, so they can reach their potential in the community, in the workplace, and in life. Greenleaf NCC currently offers Social Creativity social and recreational clubs, job skills training programs, and an 18+ transition school in partnership with Austin ISD.
Friends Shine Online is a happy, positive, online community for participants with disabilities 18 years of age and older. We offer 3-hour interactive sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, for 5-15 participants. g3 Games is a nonprofit tabletop gaming community dedicated to strengthening communities through play. Guided by the values Gather, Game, Grow, we bring people together through inclusive gaming experiences and launch programs that serve local and public communities.
The Georgetown Palace Theatre is a non-profit organization. We celebrate the power of storytelling and our shared human experience with a commitment to artistic excellence, quality education, and community engagement. We believe in theatre for all, and we offer both low-cost adaptive performance classes and free sensory-friendly performances of some of our shows.
We are a transition school for 18–21-year-olds who are interested in continuing their education, participating in job skill programs, and refining their social skills. Our goal is to have every student employable by the time they leave us, making a livable wage.
Hearts Therapeutic Riding provides therapeutic riding for anyone with special needs. Therapeutic riding is known to provide cognitive, physical, and emotional benefits. Only a few of the results can be an increase in self-esteem, confidence, problem-solving, attention span, learning a sequence of tasks, responsibility, and decreased anxiety. Member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, practicing safety standards to provide our riders with a safe and pleasant experience. Our center is close to 1431 near Cedar Park and offers two riding arenas, a riding trail, and opportunities for riding off of our property.
Joshua's Stage is an enrichment program for individuals with disabilities featuring Theater Arts & More! Programs, camps, and Individual Enrichment Programs, including activities such as improv, theater arts, arts and crafts, music, dance, create-a-story, and showcase. Participants have the opportunity to showcase their creativity, boost their self-confidence, and develop their social skills in a warm and welcoming environment.
J13 Community is committed to creating joyful, purposeful lives for adults with complex special needs and their families through community-based day programs, overnight respite care, and a shared vision for life-long residential support.
Leander ISD Special Programs Parent Advisory Council (LISD SPPAC)
The Special Programs Advisory Council (SPPAC) supports families of students with disabilities by collaborating to improve student outcomes, provide resources, and foster community connections. SPPAC members share feedback and help shape initiatives, making a meaningful impact on the LISD Special Programs community.
We provide a place for any child/young adult with special needs to play baseball; they play with their peers on a specially constructed field where there are no obstacles. They are able to stay safe and play to the best of their ability.

Peaceable Kingdom by Variety (PK), our accessible retreat in Killeen, TX, is a beloved haven for thousands of children exploring their self-reliance and mobility each year. Because healing, growth and insight can be found in nature and outdoor adventure, we’ve tailored PK's gorgeous 122-acres to accommodate all campers’ and Central Texas students' needs. At PK, children make new friends, learn new things and make new memories they carry with them forever.
Partners Resource Network
Partners Resource Network (PRN) is a federally funded nonprofit serving as the Texas Parent Training and Information (PTI) Center. PRN empowers parents of children with disabilities and youth with disabilities to understand their rights, navigate special education services, and advocate effectively through free training, resources, and regional support across Texas.
ROCK, Ride On Center for Kids, is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides equine-assisted activities and therapies to children, adults, and veterans with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. Located in Kerrville, Texas, Lions Camp provides camping experiences for children with special medical needs at no cost to the parent(s). Due to COVID, TLC is offering one- and two-night stays for families of a special medical needs child. Sessions begin June 7 and continue through July 31. The June dates are for families with a child with physical needs, and the July dates are for families with a Type 1 diabetic child. Family camp includes parents and siblings. TSC Austin is a membership-based club providing individuals with special needs/disabilities a safe and inclusive space to explore their sensory health needs through an open gym and multi-sensory environment room. The Sensory Club Austin is a membership-based, sensory-inclusive indoor play and socialization space supporting individuals of all ages with disabilities and special needs. It provides a safe, structured environment for sensory exploration, emotional regulation, confidence-building, and meaningful social connections, complementing clinical therapy through accessible, play-based support beyond traditional settings.
University of Texas at Austin - EMPOWER Study
Longhorn TIES (Transition, Illuminate, Empower, Succeed) seeks to enhance the student experience for those who identify as neurodivergent (autism, ADHD, etc.) through self-advocacy, connections, and training. Longhorn TIES encompasses one-on-one student support through TIESplus and drop-in coaching services, NDatUT campus-wide programs and events, presentations and trainings, and more.
