April 1-2, 2019: CRMS counselors will go into classrooms to transition the 6th and 7th graders. During these meetings, students will receive a choice sheet where they can indicate the courses they would like to sign up for. They will use the choice sheet to make their overall selections. Students will return home with the student’s choice sheet. Parents should then review selections, make any changes, approve, and return the signed copy back to CRMS.

Schedule Changes and Conflicts
Schedule changes for 2019-2020 school year will be permitted until May 31, 2019. Students are expected to honor their commitments for the year. Teachers are hired and courses are created based on student course selections. Due to these variables and the complexity of the master schedule, changes beyond this date cannot be accommodated.
Since the master schedule is created to accommodate the majority, there is without doubt individuals who will not receive their desired courses. While we regret these occurrences and do everything to avoid them, they are inevitable and unavoidable. Student's schedules are often time driven by their elective choices and certain combinations are not possible. We regret to inform you of this dilemma and will work hard to minimize its occurrence. Should this occur, a counselor will reach out to parents and students to provide options.
Sixth grade students will receive their schedules at their "Open House" night prior to the first day of school. Those families who do not attend open house will receive their schedules on the first day of school. Rest assured, we take care of our students. To make certain that everyone knows where to go, sixth graders will be ushered into the cafeteria on the first day of school. From there, teachers will physically walk their students to their registration rooms to distribute first day materials.
7th and 8th grade students will receive their schedules on the first day of school in their registration rooms. Upon arriving at school, students will be ushered into the competition or auxiliary gym. In these locations, registration room assignments will be posted. When students are dismissed, they will go to their registration room where they will receive first day materials - including their schedule.
