Event:  CRMS counseling staff will travel to feeder elementary schools to conduct the course selection process with students. Students will complete a choice sheet to take home for parent review and signature. The choice sheet with parent signature is due to 5th grade teachers by March 3, 2025.

Sixth Grade Course Change Request   (This form is for 5th graders going into 6th grade. Can only be filled out by a guardian.)

Submit the change from a parent email address using the form linked above.  Only PARENTS are allowed to fill out this form. Students need to talk to their parents about any changes they want to make and ask their parents to fill out this form for an official course change request for the 2025-2026 school year.

• Student email requests and verbal requests will not be honored since we need parent approval.

• Parents must submit this form for each course you would like to change from the original submitted choice sheet (you cannot request more than one change per form). The last day for course change requests is May 23, 2025 at 12 p.m. Late requests will not be accepted.

• Math change requests need to be discussed with the counselor. Do not use this form for math change requests, please email jillian.baaklini@leanderisd.org for guidance.

You will receive a confirmation email from the counselor within one week of submission that this request has been updated.

Schedule Changes and Conflicts

Schedule changes for 2026-2027 school year will be permitted until Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 4pm. Students are expected to honor their commitments for the year. Teachers are hired and courses are created based on student course selections. Due to these variables and the complexity of the master schedule, changes beyond this date cannot be accommodated. 

Since the master schedule is created to accommodate the majority, there is without doubt individuals who will not receive their desired courses. While we regret these occurrences and do everything to avoid them, they are inevitable and unavoidable. Student's schedules are often time driven by their elective choices and certain combinations are not possible. We regret to inform you of this dilemma and will work hard to minimize its occurrence.  Should this occur, a counselor will reach out to parents and students to provide options.

COURSE VERIFICATION 26/27

Please view your child's HAC courses for accuracy. If there is a mistake or you would like to make a change, please utilize the appropriate grade level google form on our counseling website. Changes to course requests will be allowed until Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 4pm. No action needed if courses are correct. 

How to view your course requests:

Log-in to Home Access Center → Select ‘Classes’ → Select the ‘Schedule’ tab.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see 2026/2027 Course Requests.

Notes:

• This is not a course schedule. These are student requests and are in no particular order.

• Course requests are a yearlong commitment. No changes to courses will be accepted after Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 4pm.

• Due to scheduling constraints, some specific class combinations may not always be available. Additionally, the availability of specific classes will be dependent on student interest and master schedule considerations.

• Home Access viewing of course requests will be viewable through May 29th and then closed until schedules are live in August.

Schedule Distribution

CRMS students and families will have viewing access to their schedule in Home Access Center (HAC) prior to the first day of school. The exact date will be communicated closer to the first day of school, but typically we make schedules viewable in HAC the day of sixth grade open house night. A paper schedule will be provided to students on the first day of school.
