Guidance Lessons:
September 23rd, 24th, 25th through Language Arts classes: Introduction to Naviance and Career Clusters.
October 13th, 14th, 15th through Language Arts classes: Review of Naviance and Career Key
In this lesson, students will review how to access their Naviance account through LISD Launchpad. Naviance is a tool that students will use in 6th-12th Grade in LISD. It can be used to register for courses, explore career and academic courses, monitor their course credits, apply to colleges and much more. Lessons will be during ELA classes. This lesson we will be completing "Career Key" to understand personalities and what careers could possibly be a good fit.
In this lesson, students will start to create their middle school 4- Year Plan as they learn about 7th Grade course options. Lessons will be during ELA classes. This is only a draft plan to learn "how" to make a 4 year plan for middle school.
Class choices for next year will be set tentative for early January.

Course Selections due (hit submit for approval in Naviance) by January 16th!!! After student hits "submit for approval" counselor will "approve" and then parents will need to click "Parent approval" in their parent Naviance account.

Expectations for Boys Athletics "Off Season"
Boys’ Athletics - Off Season is a year-long commitment that offers the opportunity to participate/try out for cross-country, basketball, track & field, and soccer.
Students choosing Boys’ Athletics - Off Season will be participating in our rigorous strength and conditioning program throughout the year which involves weight room training, speed training, and endurance training with an emphasis on form and discipline. There will be a seasonal skills emphasis on basketball, track / cross-country, and soccer skills to prepare them for tryouts. Recommended for all Cedar Park athletes not competing in football.
Course Requirements:
- Sports Physical: Please get completed over the summer
- Workout shoes and cleats
- Required uniforms to be purchased on our Leopard Store
- Must tryout for at least 1 sport (cross country, basketball, track, or soccer)
