I am very excited to begin my 13th year at CPMS! My mother took me to my first dance class at the age of 3 and I fell in love! I am originally from Schertz, Texas where I was an officer and member of the Belles Varsity Dance Team at Samuel Clemens High School. After high school, I continued my dance education at Texas State University where I was a member of the World Famous Texas State Strutters and The Delta Zeta Sorority.
During my time as a Texas State Strutter, I embarked on many performance and choreography endeavors; including a performance tour to Chile, multiple San Antonio Spurs halftime performances, and the Junior Strutters Dance Clinic. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Minor in Special Education. I am certified to teach dance, P.E., and special education. I have had the opportunity to meet and train with choreographers and dancers from across the world.
I was honored to be named a finalist in The Hill Country News "Best of 2019" for "Best Middle School Teacher" and also for the 2022 Austin Monthly/Texas State University "Thank A Teacher" Contest. Most recently, I was recognized nationally as a Delta Zeta Sorority "35 Under 35" recipient in 2023. I am excited to not only share my passion of dance with my students but to help them become responsible, respectful, and active members of their communities. I am married to my high school sweetheart, we welcomed our brand new baby girl this past April, and we have a sweet dog named Benny. When I am not teaching dance... I enjoy traveling, reading a good book, and fulfilling my self-appointed role as an "Ice Cream Aficionado".
