SCIENCE PARENT LETTER
8/11/25
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As a sixth grade science department, we believe that the education process is a partnership between the parents, students, and the teacher. As partners, we can make this year a very enjoyable and successful one for your child in science. We must all know what is needed and expected this year to be successful. Therefore, we are sending you this letter as our first communication for success. This letter is a brief description of the important things that you and your child will need to know about the procedures in our classrooms. We welcome your support and communication.
Sincerely,
Liz Hickey

For more details, please refer to our 6th Grade Science Detailed Grading Policy by (clicking here-link coming soon).
Students are responsible for determining assignments missed and staying on schedule with the unit work. Refer to your team website for homework, the 6th grade Science website and Google Classroom for notes, study guides and other documents needed.
Homework might be an activity, completing work from class, doing a scientific abstract, studying for a quiz or test, or extra practice for mastery of an objective.
*Homework is posted individually by teachers in their Google Classroom and on a board in their classrooms.
