Julie Raby, Assistant Principal (R - Z)

My name is Julie Raby, I am one of the Assistant Principals at Cedar Park HS, where I serve students with the last names R-Z.

I have been in education for quite some time. I graduated from the University of Texas, Austin and started my teaching career in Alief ISD where I taught middle school science and coached. I had the opportunity to get back to the Austin area where I taught/coached at Canyon Vista MS in Round Rock ISD. While at Canyon Vista I had twins, who are currently in college following their dream of playing baseball and softball at the next level. While trying to juggle my schedule with a new set of twins I made the decision to leave education and pursue my Principal's certification and start a career in the tech world.

Working at Ignite! Learning helped me to realize that my true love really was teaching. During my time as an educator I have had the good fortune of teaching science both at the middle and high school levels, serving as department chair, coach, assistant principal and principal, all of which have given me the opportunity to grow as an educator and perhaps more important, as a person.

Outside of school my husband and I spend much of our spare time traveling and watching our son and daughter play baseball and softball. We love to spend time at the lake wake surfing and yes, skiing. If we are not on the water then you may find us skiing or snowboarding down a mountain. We have 4 dogs, 3 Golden Retrieves and one Great Pyrenees Border Collie mix, who keep us in stitches.

Finally, I am honored and blessed to be able to serve the parents and students of the Cedar Park community.
