It has been my distinct pleasure to serve the Cedar Park High School community for the last twelve years. In my current role as Associate Principal, I work with students and families whose last names begin with the letters A - Cl. I also supervise the CTE and math departments as well as the cheer program. These groups keep me extremely busy, but I would have it no other way. The experiences that ALL of the Cedar Park High School departments and programs have given me over the last twelve years are some of the most unique and treasured memories of my life!

I made my way to Cedar Park via San Marcos where I earned a Bachelor of Mathematics Degree at Southwest Texas State University and a Master of Educational Administration at Texas State University. My career in education began in Round Rock ISD as a middle school math teacher, and that experience allowed me to transition to the role of middle school assistant principal in Leander ISD. Prior to working at Cedar Park High School, I worked at both Canyon Ridge Middle School and Four Points Middle School. 

While at Four Points Middle School, a student once told me, “Ms. Back...You’re like a jelly bean! You're hard on the outside, but soft and gooey on the inside.” For better or worse, that pretty much sums me up! I have incredibly high standards for our students and staff, so I can sometimes come across as a little too intense. However, I can promise you, that once you get past the “hard shell”, you will find someone who has those same high standards for herself and who cares deeply and passionately about the students, staff, and community of Cedar Park High School. GO WOLVES!!!
