Schedule Change Deadline: January 16, 2026

How To Request A Schedule Change:  Once you have viewed your schedule in Skyward, you will need to reach out to your counselor with any questions or concerns that you may have.  If you are seeking a schedule change please refer to the list below for acceptable reasons.

Reasons for schedule change are:

1. You have already taken the course you are registered in.

2. You are requesting a course that is required for graduation.

3. You do not have a full schedule of classes.

4. You are double scheduled during a specific period.

5. You are adding or dropping an Honors or AP course must have teacher approval)

6. You are adding a sport (must have approval from the coach)   If you are needing a schedule change based on one of the above listed reasons, please complete the schedule change request form found below.  

It is our philosophy that there is no perfect school, but rather a sound educational match for each student. Our mission is to help seniors choose a college or university that will best meet their needs and abilities: academically, socially, philosophically, and economically.

Deciding which college to attend is one of the most important decisions a high school parent will make. The college counselor, assisted by parents, teachers and the academic advisor, helps make the decision process rewarding and exciting for the student. Lake Dallas' college counseling program is designed to work with students through their senior year.

Thinking about college starts in 8th grade when students will pick their endorsement for their graduation plan and will also include working on their 4 year high school plans with their academic advisor to prepare them for college entrance.
