6th – 8th Learning Outcomes
6th Grade Outcomes
· Understand definition and terms related to Academic and Career Plan
· Investigate each of the 16 Programs of Study within the national 16 Career Cluster Model
· Understand the importance of developing a grade level and above core academic skill set through relevancy education model
7th Grade Outcomes
· Complete inventories that help students identify potential career interests for future career exploration
· Exploration and research each of the 16 Programs of Study within the national 16 Career Cluster Model to determine interest areas
· Understand how to set and achieve academic and personal goals, and use school resources to develop a personalized Program of Study through Course Offerings to develop a six year plan
8th Grade Outcomes
· Understand High School graduation requirements, what makes up a high school transcript, and the high school timeline of College and Career Readiness
· Identify core academic strengths and areas of concerns
· Fluency in completing the following components of the ACP Portfolio through Career Cruising: My Assessments, My Careers, My Course Plan (Program of Study), My Education (College Search), My Goals and Plans, My Activities and Abilities, and My Scholarship and Financial Aid
· Select a variety of activities from Career Planning Activities for Personalized Portfolio completion: Career Fair, Career Camp, College Visit, Job Shadow, Job Interview – for the express purpose of informed career decision making
· Personal evaluation of Post-Secondary Success Survey
· Complete “I Dared to Dream” portfolio project
· Student led Parent/Student Academic Career Planning conference
