My Assessments
This site will take you through an interest inventory exam. The purpose will be to determine your top two career clusters. Most students have completed this site, but you can review and do more if desired.
- Select Matchmaker
- Finish 39 questions and then Continue to “answer more questions”
- My Skills exam is next
- VERY IMPORTANT – When you finish click on “Save to my Portfolio”
- You will now have a list of careers and to main career clusters
- Additional inventories are in the My Skills and Learning Styles
My Careers
This site will help you build your Careers That Interest Me. It will be based on careers in which you have a natural interest.
- Click on Drop Down next to your name
- Click on My Saved Clusters
- Open a cluster in which you scored high or in which you have a personal interest (Save any Clusters of Interest)
- Under chosen Cluster examine Related Careers
- Click on the following tabs to gain an understanding of the career: Job Description, Working Conditions, Earnings, Education, Sample Career Path, Related Jobs, Other Resources
- Save careers of interest at “Save to my Portfolio”
- Open My Saved Careers to review saved careers
- Look at Related Jobs tab under any career of interest. This will search all other career fields that are related to any career of interest.
My Course Plan
- Select Grade (next year)
- Carefully review classes for your following academic year
- Select class from drop down window and click add
- Review plan under View My Educational Plan
My Education
This site is one of the tools you can use to search for post-secondary schools. Explore and save any school that seems to be of interest.
- Choose a strong career interest from My Saved Careers and then click the Education tab
- Search for schools using blue related college program tab
- Review and save specific colleges that offer degree programs
My Goals and Plans
- Under this tab there are three areas on which you want to work:
- Post-Secondary Goals (update career choices)
- Career and Life Goals (evaluate goals)
- Career Planning Activities (These activities will facilitate a deeper understanding of a chosen career field)
My Activities and Abilities
Under this tab there are six areas on which you want to work:
- Extra Curricular Activities
- Hobbies and Interests
- Skills and Abilities
- Awards
- Work Experiences
- Volunteer Experiences

My Scholarship and Financial Aid
This section keeps track of scholarship and financial opportunities that might apply to your son or daughter. This comprehensive tool will help organize this process. This is great knowledge to have before you start high school.
