Mathzilla! 8.0

Open to all LCUSD 4th, 5th, and 6th graders

Important Information

• Register by March 9th to participate in Round 1

• Round 1-- the 15-minute paper/pencil individual Speed Test- will take place at each school prior to the Mathzilla! event

  • PCY Speed Test:

    • 4th & 5th Graders- Monday, March 13th, 3:00-3:20pm

    • 6th Graders- Wednesday, March 15th, 3:00-3:20pm

  • LCE  Speed Test: 

    • 4th, 5th & 6th Graders- Wednesday, March 15th, 3:00-3:20pm

  • PCR Speed Test:

    • 6th Graders- Monday, March 13th, 3:00-3:20pm

    • 4th & 5th Graders- Wednesday, March 15th 3:00-3:20pm

• The main event will take place on Thursday, March 30th from 4:15-7:30. This includes Round 2- the Individual Problem Solving Test and Round 3- the Team Relay Competition

  • Round 2-- the 30-minute paper/pencil individual Problem Solving Test- will take place during the Mathzilla! event. 

  • Round 3-- the team relay- takes place at the end of the Mathzilla! event. A four-person team from each grade level will be chose from our current Math Olympiad teams to compete in Round 3. All other Mathzilla! participants will cheer them on. 

• Scores from all 3 rounds will determine which school wins Mathzilla! 8.0

• Arrive between 4:15 and 4:45

• Welcome starts at 4:45

• Individual Problem Solving Test starts at 5:00

• Event Wrap Up at 7:30
