Introduction

Hello!

My name is John Cutrone and I am a proud member of the faculty here at Indian Land High School. I currently teach English at the High School. I am a former student of Indian Land (I graduated in 2011), and an Alumnus of Spartanburg Methodist College, The University of South Carolina (Columbia), and Winthrop University where I graduated in 2017 with my Masters of Arts in Teaching. I am an avid reader with Toni Morrison, Stephen King, and Kurt Vonnegut among some of my absolute favorite authors. Thanks to my involvement with the Cross Country and Track programs while I was a student at Indian Land, I am a long distance runner and have ran in, and finished, 3 marathons to date. When I am not running or reading, I am spending time with my wife Allison (another Indian Land graduate) and enjoying our status as proud pet parents. Our 4 year old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, Cantaloupe. I can also be found working a job that I love at a place that I love. Teaching has been a major influence on my life and is my life's passion. I make it my mission to come to school with the same amount of enthusiasm and excitement that I want reciprocated from my students.
