English II

Welcome to English I or II! These courses will be an intensive study of both the seminal works in literature as well as the themes and ideas that they seek to teach us to apply to our greater worldview. Students will be introduced to various authors, genres, and works while learning the critical thinking skills necessary to reach informed conclusions and opinions on any number of topics.

Students will be expected to read from their textbook as well as all supplemental readings assigned throughout the semester. The end goal of this course is to prepare students to pass the End of Course examinations issued by the state as well as becoming more critical thinkers of the world that they are beginning to gain an active voice in.
