Spanish II

In Spanish 2 we will cover chapters 1-5 in the textbook Avancemos, book 2. The course will begin with a review of the material taught in Spanish 1. Students will describe a trip they took, sports competitions they have seen, daily activities, shopping for clothing and souvenirs. We will read stories and legends from the Hispanic culture. Students will learn how to order food in Spanish and how to explain how food is prepared. Cultural information on Costa Rica, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Spain is presented in Spanish. Students will speak and write Spanish in complete sentences using the present and the past tenses.
