How Does it Work?

Read and log books. unlock clues. solve the mystery.

Oreo, Farmwell's beloved bunny, is missing! She normally splits her time between living in Farmwell's front office and with our principal, Ms. Loya, at her home, but Oreo hasn't been seen in days!

Farmwell students need to work together to find her! The first clue will be unlocked when Farmwell students log a total of 25 books. After that, each remaining clue will unlock at different numbers of books logged! You can keep track of how many total books have been logged and how many more books are needed to unlock the next clue right here on this page. Once all of the clues are unlocked, you'll be able to help us figure out who took Oreo and where they're hiding her! The more books you and your classmates read and track, the faster clues will unlock!

Books logged in the "bonus genre" below will count double towards unlocking clues! The "bonus genre" will change as the mystery progresses, so if you want the clue bonus, make sure you pay attention to when the bonus genre changes!

Along the way, you can earn digital badges by logging books and solving the mystery. You can see the different digital badges below.

For every book you log, you will also be entered into our weekly random mystery prize drawing*. You must have logged a book during the week of the drawing to be eligible for that drawing. For purposes of the prize drawing, the week runs Friday-Thursday. Winners will be drawn on Friday mornings.

Once all the clues are unlocked, the first student from each grade level to have logged at least 1 book AND solve the mystery will also win a free mystery book! All students who solve the mystery will be emailed the Super Sleuth digital badge.
