Welcome to the Mountain View Elementary School Counseling Department website!
The school counseling program at Mountain View Elementary is designed to meet the needs of all students. School Counselors work in collaboration with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to succeed across three domains: academic development, career awareness, and personal and social development.
School counseling services are developmental and preventative in nature. Services are child centered and include but are not limited to: classroom lessons, small groups, individual counseling, and consultation with teachers and parents.
The School counseling program reinforces the Mountain View's PBIS program: Respect for Self, Others and Our School. Our goal is to provide opportunities for all students at Mountain View Elementary to soar to their highest potential.

October- Friendship, Bullying Prevention & Education
November- Bully Prevention & Education (2 lessons)
December- Accepting differences & Self-Esteem
January- Gratitude
February- Empathy/Kindness & Career Exploration
March- Career Exploration (2 lessons)
April- Social Skills (varies by grade)
May- Social Skills (varies by grade)
June- Transitions
*Due to holiday and schedules, some lessons may be taught in different months/order.
