Inspiring and furthering students' knowledge and motivation to go into the field of medicine.
We build and launch model rockets! You can buy a kit or design your own. We provide space to work, access to some tools and supplies, and ground support at launches. Members may also choose to compete in the Team American Rocketry Challenge.
Mission and Goals:
1) Educate our school and community on sustainable habits.
2) Raise awareness about the rapidly decreasing biodiversity and other environmental issues we face.
3) Preserve our world's ecosystems.
Science Olympiad is a club that cultivates the creative thinking of students in areas of science and engineering. It motivates friendly competition, and allows students to go above and beyond to expand their knowledge and further their interests in various science fields. Students participate in regional and state competitions to portray their knowledge and gain exposure to various activities.
The Science to Art Club aims to provide artistic students with an opportunity to not only showcase their creative abilities, but also their knowledge in the field of science. Members will create artwork and illustrations that will have a beneficial impact in the community, as they can be utilized as part of science education. This includes providing visual learning resources, such as diagrams and posters, to science classrooms and schools. Additionally, the work done in the Science to Art club allows students to form a meaningful connection between two of their major interests, and apply it in their future aspirations.
This year, SWE and STEM 3G have combined.
STEM 3G is a program which serves to empower young girls through STEM to help them be more interested and involved in the STEM field. We do this by performing experiments and teaching the girls mini-lessons about different areas for STEM that they wouldn’t traditionally learn about. Doing so, we encourage girls to become more confident and independent young women!
Please see Ms. Muto with SWE (above) to get involved.
