How do I use the online resources?

Login to LCPS GO! and locate the Library Resources folder. From here you can access the LCPS database collection, our collection of Ebooks in MackinVIA, and media resources that can help you create and upload content. 

May I access my eBook on my phone or tablet?

Yes! Download the free MackinVIA app. It is available for both iOS and Android. 

When you log into the app be sure to select Heritage High School in Leesburg, VA. Use the same username and password you use with your Chromebook. 

How long may I keep library materials?    

    Books and Ebooks - 3 weeks
    Magazines - 1 week
    Reference - 1 day

May I renew materials?

Yes, as long as there are no requests for the item, you may renew an item as long as you need it (up to three renewals = 12 weeks). Your account must be in good standing with no overdues. 

May I reserve and request materials?

Yes, you may place a hold on an item to receive it when it is available.  We can also ILL (interlibrary loan) items for you. 

How do I return library materials? 

The library has two book returns. One is located at the main entrance of the school.  The other book return is located across from the cafeteria. Book returns are emptied on a daily basis, Monday through Friday.

May I return overdue items from other schools?

Yes, place them in either of the book returns. We will return your books to the originating school.

How do I pay for a lost or damaged book?

Lost and/or damaged school library materials may be paid for online or at the main office. Cash and checks (payable to HHS) are accepted. Please include your student ID# and "Lost Library Book" in the check memo.
