Student Consulting Sessions
To make the best use of Makerspace Consulting Sessions, students should...
-Have a scheduled appointment time approved by the teacher and accepted by Mr. Ajima.
-Arrive with a pass from the teacher (for appointments during class time).
-Greeting and Introduction. Introduce themselves with full name, teacher name, class name, class block or day.
-If from a research class, give the major research area of the lab.
-Share the name of the activity/project.
-Share a brief description of their specific project.
-Clearly state tools/materials/resources/training they are requesting.
-Share a sketch/photo/written procedure/research/tutorial/product link illustrating what they want to make or something similar.
-Share timeline for the project and ideal time frame for the makerspace portion of the project.
-Be prepared with specific dates/times that the teacher has approved to work on the project.
-Be prepared to ask questions and provide additional info.
-Students should use their LCPS email address when communicating with staff.
