MUSIC IS HISTORY
Week 29- March 29th-April 2nd- Make your own game board- Music Jeopardy Review!
For your activity this week;
Use a piece of paper and something to write with to design your own game board for Music Jeopardy! You can use a bigger piece of paper or poster board if you wish. Come up with 5 categories and 3-5 questions for each. Remember to make them 100-500 point questions. If you would like a chance to have your jeopardy question feature in our game, you can email it to Mrs. Derby at (cderby@lcmschools) by Wednesday evening! Have Fun and can't wait to play our collaborative game this Thursday for our Live Zoom!
Week 28- March 22nd- March 26th- Reading Rhythms- Spring is Here!
For your Activity this week you will be making Rhythm cards for practice. Rhythm masters is coming this Spring!
You will need;
-Paper (2 pieces of paper, white, colored or lined
-Scissors
-Marker

Week 27- March 15th- March 19th- Learn how to read Music!
This week you will need these materials to make your note flashcards;
-A piece of paper to cut into 9 flashcards for your line and space notes
-A pen & and a pencil

Week 26- March 8th-12th- Music is....
For your activity this week complete these two activities below;
1) Make your Music is... "Sunshine" circle and come up with 8-10 words that mean Music for you!
2) Listen and watch your favorite song/theme song from movies that John Williams has composed. Be sure to go back to last week's lesson to find and make your selection. Reflect on what you saw and heard. Instruments, tempo, dynamics, etc... Enjoy!

We will be studying different styles of music from different times, and looking back at the roots of music such as Classical, Jazz & the Blues! Strap up in your time machines as we venture back through history to see how Music came to be, and how it is weaved throughout our history. We will take a closer look at all the elements that make up Music and discover all of it's magic and richness!
